Amber and I met four years ago when I had just had my twin girls and she had had Mila, all grown up little girls and full of sass now. We have formed a beautiful friendship and so have our children. Last month, they welcomed little Layla to their tribe and I popped in for a coffee and a cuddle and of course snapped away while I was there.
The house was so chilled. Everyone relaxed and just kicking back in their cosy abode. Mila and Daddy shared giggles and snuggled while Amber and I talked all things feeding. These guys are such an amazing little unit and everything is as it should be.
In home newborn sessions are so beautiful, especially as the weather is cold. You are free to wear comfortable clothes without having to be rugged up. You don't need to have an Instagram worthy house, just clear the clutter. Hide the washing behind the couch. Throw the dishes in the dishwasher and shut the doors to hide unmade beds. Your house doesn't have to have all the latest 'on trend' pieces. No fuss. No stress.
So, if you have been hesitant in booking an in home session - please don't! All you need is your people, a tiny bit of light and a whole lot of love.
